The Northern Shenandoah Valley Community Veterans Engagement Board (CVEB) brings together local resources and capabilities to improve outcomes for Veterans, transitioning service members, and those who support them. Northern Shenandoah Valley CVEB is an opportunity for community stakeholders to discuss Veteran issues, develop collaborative relationships with VA leadership and each other. In addition, identifying opportunities to improve experience of local Veterans and strategically executing resolutions.
EXECUTIVE OFFICERS:
Ashley serves as the Chair for the NSV CVEB. Ashley is the Veterans Employment Services Representative for Virginia Works, where she works to connect veterans with meaningful employment opportunities. Ashley served as a medic in the Army and is the proud wife of an Army veteran.
Ashley is the proud mother of four children and two English Mastiffs. She cherishes spending quality time with her family and traveling.
Niccole serves as the Vice Chair for the NSV CVEB. Niccole is the Director of Online Managed Programs and Military Benefits School Certifying Official for Shenandoah University where she works to connect veterans and their families with VA education benefits and community resources.
Niccole is the proud mother of three daughters.
Sarah serves as the Treasurer for the NSV CVEB. Sarah is the Assistant Manager at Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU), where she began her career in 2007. Over the years, she has made a significant impact as a Branch Financial Education Ambassador, sharing valuable financial insights with members, and as a Volunteer Lead with the WIN Schools Partnership. Her involvement extends to the Link Committee, showcasing her dedication to strengthening community connections.
Sarah is deeply committed to giving back, particularly through her work on the Community Veterans Engagement Board. Supporting veterans is a cause close to her heart, as she believes in honoring their service by helping them transition smoothly into civilian life, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to thrive financially and personally.
Outside of work, Sarah stays busy coaching cheer, attending her three children’s activities, and traveling whenever she can, embracing new experiences with her family.
Leslie serves as the Historian for the NSV CVEB. Leslie serves as a board member and volunteer for the American Red Cross. She is the wife of a Korean War Veteran and has dedicated her life to serving the military community.
Michael serves as the Community Engagement and Development Coordinator for the Northern Shenandoah Valley Community Veterans Engagement Board (NSV CVEB). A U.S. Army veteran who served as a mechanic, Mike is deeply committed to supporting fellow service members and their families. He is a proud father of five—three sons and two daughters—and his youngest son is currently serving in the Army, stationed in South Korea. Mike brings a strong passion for veteran advocacy, and he thrives on building meaningful connections and helping others improve their lives.
Robert serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Northern Shenandoah Valley Community Veterans Engagement Board (NSV CVEB). A U.S. Navy veteran who served as a helicopter mechanic, Robert is deeply committed to supporting fellow service members and their families.
Mike serves as an Advisor for the NSV CVEB.
Mike is a distinguished leader and advocate for veterans' welfare. A combat veteran who served in the United States Navy submarine service during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Mike is deeply committed to supporting his fellow veterans. As the former District Commander for the 9 VFW posts in the Northern Shenandoah Valley and a current member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Berryville, he has played a pivotal role in fostering camaraderie and support within the veteran community. In his professional capacity, Mike works for the State of Virginia as a the Deputy Office Manager, dedicated to assisting job seekers in their journey towards meaningful and fulfilling careers. Concurrently, Mike proudly serves as the Mayor of Stephens City, currently in his second term, exemplifying his unwavering dedication to public service.

Patricia serves as an Advisor for the NSV CVEB. Patricia works as the Executive Director for the Hazel-Pruitt Armory, Home of the Hub for Innovators, Veterans, and Entrepreneurs (HIVE) & Industry and External Engagement. Patricia works hard to connect Shenandoah University to the military community both within the university and the region.
Adam serves on the Judiciary Committee for the NSV CVEB. Adam is the President of a local nonprofit that serves combat veterans, Heroes on the River.

Bru serves on the Judiciary Committee for the NSV CVEB. Bru serves as a volunteer for Team Rubicon.
