NEW VETERANS CRISIS HOTLINE - 988 OPT. 1
The NSV CVEB is proud to partner with Tech for Troops and Navy Federal Credit Union for an all-in-one empowerment event for our local veterans. Attendees receive hands-on basic computer literacy training from a Tech for Troops expert, valuable financial literacy insights from Navy Federal, a free lunch, and will walk away with their very own refurbished laptop and accessories. From filing VA claims and accessing education to applying for jobs, we are making sure our veterans have the tools they need to succeed in a digital world.
Every year, during the opening ceremony of the Rotary Club of Winchester's Healing Field of Honor, we organize Heroes Hill. This specialized veterans exposition features numerous booths offering vital services, administrative guidance, and community resources tailored directly for Shenandoah Valley-based veterans. Set against the moving panorama of hundreds of American flags, Heroes Hill serves as a bridge to connect local service members with the support networks they have earned.
In partnership with Shenandoah University, the NSV CVEB hosts an annual barbecue dedicated to bridging the gap between local veterans, resources, and the community. Hosted at The HIVE (Hub for Innovators, Veterans, and Entrepreneurs) with food provided by the NSV CVEB, this event brings people together to education the public and foster a shared, invested interest in serving our veteran community.
